Construction may traditionally be seen as a male-dominated industry, but inside Basements Plus, we have some of the strongest role models, mentors, customer advocates on our team that are women.
Every day, the women at Basements Plus help move projects forward and assist in making the homeowner experience top notch. From the initial call into our Appointment Center, to our marketing and finance teams, to the designers helping Michigan homeowners make big decisions about the layout of their space, the women at Basements Plus work hard and their dedication touches every stage of the process..
And don’t get us wrong, we love our hard-working men at Basements Plus and wouldn’t be able to do what we do without them either. Our logistics, carpentery and waterproofing crews are currently made up of men, but if you know a woman who’s ready to roll up her sleeves and get her hands dirty in construction, send her our way. We’re always looking for great people to join the team.

No conversation about the women of Basements Plus would be complete without recognizing Amy Iverson, co-owner of the company & Steve’s wife, who has been part of the business since day one. In the early days, Amy helped Steve with bookkeeping, advertising, & even distributed flyers as they worked together to grow what would become the family business Basements Plus is today.
Today, Amy is the Director of Marketing, she also helps with accounts receivables and payables, branding, HR, & overall business growth. While she once wore many hats during the company’s early years, she now enjoys watching the team grow rapidly and the company continues to evolve into 80+ employees.
Even after all these years, she still finds herself WOW’d by the finished basement transformations our incredible team creates for Southeast Michigan families.
