In July 2025, our Social Media Strategist, Avery, partnered with Steve to launch a video series called Behind the Build. The goal was simple: pull back the curtain and show homeowners exactly how and why we build the way we do.
At Basements Plus, we do not believe in simply installing products and walking away. We believe homeowners deserve to understand the intent behind every recommendation, material choice, and every construction step. From structural considerations to waterproofing systems to finishing details, education is part of the experience!
Behind the Build was created to extend that same transparency and insight beyond the free consultation and into our social channels.
Nearly a year later, the series has grown into a consistent educational platform. Steve has walked viewers through unfinished basements in the demo stage, explained the purpose of systems like sump pumps and smart jacks, highlighted design planning inside Basements Plus projects, and shared final walkthroughs of basements that connect planning to the execution stage.
The result is a library of real projects, real education, and real insight into what goes into building a basement the right way.
