This past weekend, Orchard Lake St. Mary’s once again brought the community together for its 4th annual Pink in the Rink event. It’s an inspiring tradition dedicated to raising awareness and showing support in the fight against cancer. Basements Plus is proud to be a sponsor of this meaningful event each and every year, and even prouder to stand alongside a community that shows up with such heart.
Pink in the Rink is about more than just hockey. It’s about unity, remembrance, and hope. Students, families, athletes, and supporters come together wearing pink to honor those who are currently battling cancer, those who have overcome it, and those we’ve unfortunately lost. Pink in the Rink is a powerful reminder of how strong a community can be when it rallies behind a cause that touches so many lives.
This event is especially close to our hearts at Basements Plus. But beyond that connection, cancer is something that affects nearly everyone in some way, whether it’s a family member, a close friend, or someone we love. Supporting Pink in the Rink is our way of showing that no one fights alone.
We are grateful to Orchard Lake St. Mary’s for continuing this important tradition and for allowing us to be part of it year after year. Events like this reinforce why we believe so strongly in supporting our local communities and not just through our work, but through causes that truly matter.
We’re honored to stand with Orchard Lake St. Mary’s, the hockey program, and everyone who came out to support Pink in the Rink.
Over the past three years, Pink in the Rink has raised more than $225,000, thanks to the generosity of sponsors, donors, and attendees. If you’d like to make a donation, click this link here!
